And gardai have yet to issue a special hotline number which distressed local people can contact.“It’s not good enough,” said one parent who believes a relative may have been a victim of Ferry.“There had been calls for an external investigation and we need that right now; not next week or next month but now. People need to talk to counsellors and gardai and they don’t know where to go.“The response is a disaster. People are suicidal and nothing is being done to help.” Another parent – who believes her child may have been abused by Ferry and then committed suicide – told us: “This place is going to explode.
